Traffic Changes as of Dec 1st

Traffic Information

We continue to see a need to reduce traffic on Carriage Drive during morning drop off and afternoon pick up. We are working with the Citrus Heights City, Citrus Heights Police, Carriage families, and staff to gather feedback about rerouting our drop off and pick up traffic flow. After three months of conversations and feedback we will be implementing a new traffic flow starting Dec 1st.

We will have the Citrus Heights Police and additional staff helping direct traffic during our morning drop off and after school pick up times. The parking gate closest to Carriage (where our cars currently enter the parking lot) will be closed. Instead, all traffic will enter through the gate at the 4- way stop that leads into the Mesa parking lot. Our traffic will be directed to wrap around the parking lot and have our students exit cars in the same place as always. The goal is to get more cars off Carriage Drive and reduce the amount of traffic on the street. We understand this is new and may be confusing in the beginning, but with the extra personnel helping direct and some extra patience we hope to have this new routine running smoothly as soon as possible.
