Principal Message
It is with great excitement and deep gratitude that I introduce myself as the new principal of Carriage Drive Elementary. I am honored to join this vibrant community and to work alongside such dedicated educators, engaged families, and inspiring students.
With 27 years of experience in education—as a teacher, instructional leader, and most recently, administrator at another San Juan Unified elementary school —I am committed to fostering a safe, inclusive, and academically rich environment where every student can thrive. I believe strongly in the power of partnership between home and school, and I look forward to building meaningful relationships with each of you. Together, we will continue to set the stage for our children’s lifelong confidence and success in academics, the arts, and society.
In the coming weeks, I’ll be taking time to get to know our students, staff, and families. Please know that my door is always open—I welcome your ideas, feedback, and involvement as we work together to support every child’s growth and success. At Carriage we will continue to value family involvement and engagement. Our “Coffee at Carriage” mornings will continue as well as several other monthly family gatherings. Check the calendar on our website and watch for our newsletters for dates and times of special events, plus ways you can volunteer to enhance our students’ experiences in the classroom and at events.
